The tone for the United States Declaration was authoritative, protective, and defensive. I also believed that the United States was trying to use a intimidating power of intending to impress the Germans. For that to explain that the United States wanted to be at the top and the most powerful nation in the world. I also found words like "people", "peace", "rights", "nation", and "free" showed that the United States were interested in being neutral and they were also trying to protect the rights of people not just in the United States but around the world. The United States also wanted to show in the declaration that they were better than anybody. The United States mainly wanted to be at peace with everyone, but if something happened to Americans the United States has even a greater power to protect its citizens and government to make it look like better and stronger power.
As for the German Response, I felt like the Germans were trying to enrage the United States even more, and spark an even bigger war when naming England. They rejected the declaration and they rationalized that the war was between Europe's nations. It also seemed to me like the Germans really did want to spark this war, they kept provoking the United States to be involve in World War I. When looking at the Wordles again it looks like Germany was intent to maintain as a powerful nation and it tried to show its lethal path to the United States. The absolutely seemed eager to fight in this great big war. In conclusion, both the Declaration of the United States and the German Response showed that both had completely different opinions of war.
